God's competitive advantage, why he has secret and why you may still be a secret.

One of the greatest advantage that God holds against his enemies is in the fact that He has secrets. Very often, people get stunned when they hear that God actually has secrets but it is true.

Jesus Himself said that He did not know of the exact day or hour when the end of times would occur (reference Matthew 24:36). That exact day is kept as a secret by God.

Here is another one: 'when Jesus was born, He was kept as a secret to such an extent that Herod the Great did not know who to kill when He was born. And to even deepen the secrecy , an angel of the Lord commanded Joseph to escape in Egypt in order to hide baby Jesus (reference Matthew 2).

Samson, who was the strongest man alive, was supposed to keep the 'recipe of his strength' as a secret but he failed to do so and paid the price.

I have stumbled upon many book titles of people claiming to know the year and exact day when the events of Apocalypse will occur. But none of the authors got it right . If Jesus already declared that nobody knows the day of the End then it would be a futile exercise to claim knowing that exact day. Additionally, if the exact day was known or easy to find out , it would give Satan an edge to prepare for the final battle. But since nobody knows the final day, it weakens the enemy more.

Don't feel bad about it: 'at times, secrets are part of God' strategy to conquer, protect and ensure longevity'. Jesus himself acted secretively in some instances (reference Mark 1:40-45, John 7:10).

Certain secrets are not always a weakness but also a tool to extend longevity (And I am not talking about sin; Sin should never be kept as a secret).

In John 7:1-13, a very good altercation occurs between Jesus and his biological brothers. They wanted Him to go to Judea and make Himself public (in fact they were trying to get rid of Him) but Jesus told them: 'My time has not come yet'. In other words, if He rushed to go and become a public star, He would endanger the longevity of His purpose and get killed before His time. So He decided to keep acting in secret.

There are people whose purpose has been aborted because:

a) They could not keep secrets b)They could not keep themselves as secrets and they decided to rush into public light before their time.

So many people have been assassinated before their times, so many businesses felt prey to competition because they could not keep their mouths shut!

In 2 Kings 20:12-19, a King named Hezekiah makes a dumb mistake of revealing his riches and palace secrets to Babylonian Ambassadors resulting in a doom prophecy from Prophet Isaiah. i recommend that you read the story in order to understand it better.

I have great news for you:

1.First of all, sin must never be kept a secret. This post has nothing to do with sin.

2. Secondly, you are not obligated to tell all your 'life purpose related secrets' to everybody. Don't feel indebted towards any 'Jo' that comes your way. And of course there will be people who can access some of your secrets but you should vet them before, especially in this generation where people enjoy spilling other people'stuff in a tweet or on a FB post....

3.Thirdly, it is possible that you are one of God's guarded secrets. This could explain why you have not reached public status in your purpose and why God is using you in secret. It is also possible that Satan may be looking for you in the four corners of the world (like he was looking for baby Jesus) but because God is keeping you as a secret, your life and its purpose are protected. So don't complain if you are not noticed or if you are still unknown. You are probably not at the stage where you can handle a face-to-face full blown confrontation with the enemy. Jesus had to wait for 30 years before coming out and even through his ministry there were times where He had to keep a low profile....

You are veiled under an ordinary appearance and a low profile until the right time because God is protecting you.

So enjoy the 'secrecy' for now.
